Your Information

You can, of course, choose not to provide us with certain information. Please note, however, that certain information may be required in order for you to obtain services from a Jiffy Lube® Service Center and/or participate in contests and promotions.

We aim to keep our information as accurate as possible. Any US resident, regardless of state of residency, can request the following:
• access to your personal information;
• correction or deletion of your personal information (but only where it is no longer required for a legitimate business purpose such as completing a transaction);
• that you no longer receive marketing communications;
• that the processing of your personal information is restricted; and/or
• that you receive personal information that you have provided to us, in a structured, digital form to be transmitted to another party, if this is technically feasible.

 

How to exercise your rights:

The request must:
• provide sufficient information for us to be able to verify you are the person whose personal information we hold or are an authorized representative of that person; and
• describe your request in enough detail so that we can properly locate the personal information the request or request relate to.

We cannot respond to your request unless we can verify your identity or authority to make the request. We will aim to verify your identity based on personal information we already hold about you. If we need to request further information from you in order to verify your identity we will only use that personal information for the purposes of identifying you or that you have authorized the request.

 

Communicating with you

You will be given the opportunity, in any commercial e-mail that we send to you, to opt-out of receiving such messages in the future.

We may send you other types of transactional and relationship e-mail communications, such as service updates or administrative notices without offering you the opportunity to opt-out of receiving them. Please note that opting out of receipt of promotional e-mail communications will only affect future activities or communications from us. If we have already provided your information to a third party (with your consent) before you changed your preferences or updated your information, you will have to change your preferences directly with that third party.

Only with your prior express written consent, we may call you or send you text messages for marketing purposes using autodialer technology. You will be given the opportunity, in any such communication, to opt-out of receiving future marketing communication. Under our Do Not Call Policy you may instruct us not to call you, using any method, for marketing purposes by calling Jiffy Lube® Customer Service at (800) 344-6933. We will implement your instructions within 30 days. Please note that we may still need to call you for servicing or other non-marketing purposes.

If you do not want us to send you postal mail for marketing purposes, you may remove your name from our mailing lists by contacting Jiffy Lube® Customer Service at (800) 344-6933.

 

How We Protect Your Personal Information

We take appropriate security measures (including physical, electronic and procedural measures) to help safeguard your personal information from unauthorized access and disclosure. For example, only authorized employees and authorized third-party service providers are permitted to access personal information, and they may do so only for permitted business purposes. In addition, we use encryption in the transmission of your financial information and we use firewalls to help prevent unauthorized access to your personal information.

In all cases, where the personal information is transferred to authorized third parties whether inside or outside of the United States of America we take organizational, contractual, and legal measures to ensure that your personal information is exclusively processed for the purposes mentioned above and that adequate levels of protection have been implemented to safeguard your personal information.

Although we take steps to secure your information, no data transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. If you have reason to believe that your interaction with us is no longer secure, please immediately notify us in accordance with the “Who can I contact if I have a query, concern or complaint?” section below.

As stated above, we do not sell your personal information.

We do not and will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your rights explained in this Privacy Notice regardless of whether or not the

California Consumer Privacy Act applies to you, including:
• denying you access to goods and/or services;
• charging you different prices or rates for goods or services, including through granting discounts or other benefits or imposing penalties;
• providing you a different level of goods and/or services;
• suggesting you may receive a different price or rate for goods and/or services or a different level of quality of goods and/or services.

However, you have the ability to participate in various programs which allows you to earn and redeem rewards and which requires you to provide your personal information as described above in order to do so. We consider any discounts reasonably relate to the value of your personal information. Note that you are provided with the material terms of the Loyalty Program when you join, and are asked to provide your opt-in consent to participate, which you can withdraw at any time.

For example, if you have used a JLI app or a service in the last 12 months.

The categories of third party to whom we have disclosed your personal information during the preceding 12 months are listed on our Privacy Policy under Who will we share your personal information with? but only to the extent this is relevant to you. For example, if you have consented to us sharing your personal information with a promotion partner.

 

Changes to this Privacy Notice

We will occasionally update this Notice to reflect changes in our practices and services. When we make changes to this Notice, we will revise the “last updated” date at the top of the Notice. If we make any material changes in the way we collect, use, and/or share personal information that may impact you, we will notify you by sending an e-mail to the e-mail address you most recently provided us (unless we do not have such an e-mail address), and/or by prominently posting notice of the changes on our website and/or service centers.
